Aaron Kelly Jr.’s Day in th Park For the Love of Our Mothers Stop the Violence!

Fathers & Family San Joaquin and the City of Stockton would like to invite the Community to the 6th Annual Aaron Kelly Jr. Day in the Park. This year’s theme is “For the love of our Mothers Stop the Violence!” The event is scheduled for Saturday June 1st 2013, at Louis Park from 11am-2pm.

 

The event is dedicated to Aaron Kelly Jr., Aaron was an innocent bystander in a gang shoot out at Louis Park in 2008. Renee Garcia started this event to promote family strengthening, reclaim public space as a safe place for children and families and to raise awareness about how violence affects our families and communities.

 

The event will include a car show, food, raffles, a community resource fair for parents and pro-social activities for kids such as a bounce houses and carnival games. All Food, merchandise and activities are free to the community.

 

Fathers & Families of San Joaquin is a progressive, solutions orientated organization that focuses on youth empowerment, family strengthening, and healthy communities.
