Join Us at Office of Violence Prevention Community Engagement Coalition Meeting on March 26

he City of Stockton Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) invites service providers and community members to join the next Community Engagement Coalition meeting, focused on Public Safety, on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Civic Auditorium, 525 N. Center Street.

This year’s theme, “Strengthening our United Front,” weaves together a sharing of resources and the strengthening of our community to prevent violence in Stockton.  All community members are welcome to join in roundtable discussions and encouraged to bring any information to share. Discussions will also explore concepts such as shared safety, peace partnerships, community assets, and other partner services and programs.

"We are extremely excited to re-introduce this convening to our community partners and stakeholder network,” said Keiland Henderson, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Office of Violence Prevention. “And with consistent engagement and partnership support, all of our efforts can truly experience sustainability and success.”

“Our meetings provide opportunities for OVP to strengthen community relationships and expand our approach to violence prevention,” adds LaTosha Walden, Manager for the Office of Violence Prevention.

Future Community Engagement Coalition meetings are scheduled quarterly. The next two meetings will take place on June 19 and September 25.
