As May is National Military Appreciation Month, the Stockton Auto Mall is hosting its 2nd Annual Veterans Appreciation Day on Sat, May 27th, 11 am – 2 pm as a way to say “thank you” to local veterans. The public is invited to attend, and encouraged to bring along any veterans they know.
Participating car dealers will be serving complimentary barbecue and soft drinks, and the following local veterans service organizations will be on-hand to provide information and support to the vets in attendance:
- Disabled American Veterans Charities of San Joaquin County
- American Legion, Ed Stewart Post 803
- Veterans of Foreign Wars, Luneta Post 52
- San Joaquin Delta College Veterans Resource Center
- University of the Pacific Veterans Resource Center
- U.S. Army Recruiting
- U.S. Navy Recruiting
“Our veterans and their families have made extraordinary sacrifices, and we want to do something to honor them and express our appreciation.
