Thunder Goalie Called to the AHL

Former Boston College Eagle standout goaltender Parker Milner has been called up ahead of tonight’s Thunder game against the Bakersfield Condors.

Stockton Thunder Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Rich Kromm has announced that goaltender Parker Milner has been called up to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, effective immediately.

Milner, 23, has played in five contests as a member of the Stockton Thunder and has posted a 1-4-0-0 record with a 3.22 goals against average and a .902 save percentage. His most recent start was against the Ontario Reign where the former NCAA Champion stopped 45 of 49 shots in the loss, including a magnificent save on Dan DaSilva in the first period.

Kromm also announced that Dave Guy shall serve as Brian Foster’s emergency backup for tonight’s contest against Bakersfield. Guy, 41, is from San Jose California. Guy has served as an emergency backup with the San Francisco Bulls last year as well as serving as the San Jose Sharks practice goalie.

Thunder fans can purchase the special “Thunder Pride Pack” ahead of tonight’s game. Fans can get four tickets in the Upper End Zone, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $38 at the Stockton Arena Box Office. Fans can also receive a free Thunder hat at no extra charge by purchasing their tickets in advance through StocktonThunder.com. Family Days take place on every Sunday and Wednesday Thunder home game throughout the season.
