United Way Campaign of San Joaquin Kickoff September 10th

United Way of San Joaquin County is hosting a Campaign Kickoff & Recognition Luncheon on September 10, 2013 at the Alex G. Spanos Center, University of the Pacific. This annual event is one of the largest funraising efforts by United Ways SJC to help support many local non-profits. This event is open to the public and allows guests the opportunity to hear how funds raised are used. Doors open at 11:30am and program starts at 12:15pm with a delicious lunch catered by Angelinas.

United Way is 125 years old. The organization began in Denver, CO when a small group of citizens saw unmet needs in the community that they wanted to address. That first year, they raised $21,700 for safety net services to help people in crisis. This began a movement that has evolved into an international organization with epic impact, mobilizing vast community effort. In California alone, there are 35 United Ways operating in a similar fashion in various counties.

Tickets are: Individual luncheon tickets $25 / Preferred seating table sponsor $300.
