City of Stockton Accepting Applications for Civil Service / Equal Employment Commission Interviews

The City of Stockton will be conducting interviews to fill two seats on the Civil Service / Equal Employment Commission. Interview will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. To be considered for appointment, those interested must submit an online application by Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Civil Service/Equal Employment Commission is a five-member commission that investigates, reports and creates rules on matters regarding the administration of the Civil Service System. There will be two vacancies beginning July 1, 2019. The terms of service run until June 30, 2022. A full term of service is three years with a two-term limit. Applicants must reside within the City of Stockton upon applying and throughout the entire term of service, be registered to vote in the City of Stockton, and cannot hold any other public office, place or position of employment with the City. Members meet the third Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. Remuneration is $25 per meeting, not to exceed $150 a month.

City offices are open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and every other Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. City offices are closed every other Friday and on observed holidays.
