The Stockton Ports, in conjunction with Visit Stockton, will host the 2019 West Coast Conference Baseball Championship at Banner Island Ballpark, the team announced Friday. Play amongst the top-four West Coast Conference regular season teams will begin on May 23 and will conclude on May 25.
“We are excited to showcase our best and brightest at the WCC Baseball Championship in May,” said WCC Associate Commissioner Jeff Tourial. “The Stockton Ports and Visit Stockton have been great partners with us since this event began in 2013, and the entire community has shown great support. We look forward to crowning a champion at Banner Island Ballpark this spring.”
The West Coast Conference consists of ten schools including Brigham Young, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, Portland, Saint Mary’s, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and Stockton’s own University of the Pacific. Four schools will qualify for the tournament.
“The West Coast Conference tournament is a very exciting event for the city of Stockton and we’d like to thank the WCC and Visit Stockton for making it possible,” said General Manager Taylor McCarthy. “We look forward to hosting their student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and fans for the seventh consecutive year at Banner Island Ballpark.”
West Coast Conference Baseball Championship tickets will be available at the Stockton Ports Box Office or over the phone at 209-644-1900 beginning March 15. Tickets for the tournament start at $6 for students and seniors, $12 for MVP seating, and $15 for Club seating (available exclusively for Ports’ Season Ticket Holders).
The Stockton Ports’ Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, April 4th vs. the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
