Andrade to assume leadership June 8th

The San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SJCHCC) announced its Board of Directors has unanimously selected Jesús Andrade as the Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization. Andrade will assume the leadership role June 8th.

“After a thorough search that yielded a pool of highly qualified candidates, the board is pleased to have found the best person to lead the organization through its next phase of program expansion and membership growth,” said Bob Gutierrez, SJCHCC Board President and lead principal of BG Strategies. “Jesús has strong local roots and a proven track record in government affairs and advocacy. His deep commitment and passion to expanding economic opportunities and entrepreneurship in the region offers a clear vision to the organization’s next era of growth.”

“I am honored to lead an organization with so many respected business members and community leaders,” said Jesús Andrade. “This organization has been a pillar of strength in the Central Valley for over 45 years and continues to be a dominating voice for small business locally and in Sacramento.”

Andrade, 35, holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and minor in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. He is a current Stockton City Councilmember and co-founder of the Stockton Schools Initiative, a policy organization focused on improving academic outcomes for all public school students. He serves on several commissions and boards, including the San Joaquin Council of Governments, San Joaquin Area Flood Control Agency, San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission, and CSU Stockton Site Authority Commission.
