RTD Wants to Partner With You to Clear the Air!

Event date: 11/17/2018 - 11/21/2018 Export event

San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) wants to help clear up the current poor air quality caused by the horrific fire in Northern California.  RTD operates primarily low and no emission vehicles throughout the City of Stockton and wants to be a  partner with local residents by offering FREE bus service to help lessen the effects of the fire on local air quality.

We all know traveling in single occupancy vehicles adds to poor air quality.  Please consider taking the bus and leaving your car at home while smoky skies make breathing difficult.  Starting this Saturday, November 17, you can help reduce air pollution by simply riding the bus.  All RTD bus service (including SOME of RTD’s BART buses*, but excluding other Commuter Services) will be free of charge through Wednesday, November 21, 2018.

Many people are seeking ways to help with the effects of the fires burning in California.  Right now you and RTD can become partners to make a difference.

RTD offers easy to use tools to plan your transit trip.  To learn how to get to your destination on RTD, visit sjRTD.com and select the Trip Planner or download the Swiftly app available on Google Play Store or call (209) 943-1111.  Together, we can help everyone breathe a little easier.

*RTD Dublin BART bus times not included in the free ride program are 7:20 a.m. and 10:55 a.m. from Stockton to Dublin BART/6:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. from Dublin BART to Stockton.
