YMCA of San Joaquin County Names Dan Chapman as New CEO

The YMCA of San Joaquin County has announced that they have hired Dan Chapman as its new CEO starting May 20th.

“We are so very fortunate to have someone of Dan Chapman’s caliber agree to serve as our new CEO”, said YMCA of San Joaquin County Board President Heather Schlenger. “Dan’s experience and contacts in our community will be a major asset to the YMCA of San Joaquin County. We look forward to Dan leading the Y to a period of unprecedented growth. San Joaquin County should feel fortunate that Dan Chapman will be leading and organization whose sole focus is to benefit the families of our great community.”

Dan Chapman comes to the YMCA of San Joaquin County from the Athletics Department of the University of the Pacific, where he was the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Media. Dan has also served as the President of the Stockton Thunder, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Stockton and as Stockton City Council Member for the 2nd District and as General Manager of the Stockton Ports.

A native and resident of Stockton, Dan is graduate of Lincoln High School and San Francisco State University. He is married to his wife, Mary Ann Chapman, and together they have two children.
