Fathers & Family San Joaquin and the City of Stockton would like to invite the Community to the 6
th Annual Aaron Kelly Jr. Day in the Park. This year’s theme is “For the love of our Mothers Stop the Violence!” The event is scheduled for Saturday June 1
st 2013, at Louis Park from 11am-2pm.
The event is dedicated to Aaron Kelly Jr., Aaron was an innocent bystander in a gang shoot out at Louis Park in 2008. Renee Garcia started this event to promote family strengthening, reclaim public space as a safe place for children and families and to raise awareness about how violence affects our families and communities.
The event will include a car show, food, raffles, a community resource fair for parents and pro-social activities for kids such as a bounce houses and carnival games. All Food, merchandise and activities are free to the community.
Fathers & Families of San Joaquin is a progressive, solutions orientated organization that focuses on youth empowerment, family strengthening, and healthy communities.
