On Tuesday, June 2nd, at 10:30 a.m. , the Cesar Chavez Library presents Adult Book Club. The Adult Book Club meets to discuss great books on the first Tuesday of every month. Join us on June 2nd as we unpeel the multiple layers of Markus Zuzak’s The Book Thief. Death is the narrator of this powerful tale set in 1939 Nazi Germany, where a nine year old uses her gifts of thievery and reading to forestall some of the brutal misery of her world. This is an unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul.
