American Graffiti to be shown at the Bob Hope Theatre

242 East Main Street in Downtown Stockton

The Friends of the Fox presents American Graffiti at the Bob Hope Theatre Friday, July 17 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children & students with ID, and $6 each for groups of 10 or more. Complimentary water, wine, and snacks are included.

This classic 1973 film stars Ronny Howard and Cindy Williams, directed by George Lucas. It tells the tale of one wild summer night in Modesto in 1962 as college beckons. It was one of the first films to have a soundtrack of pop hits of the era and was responsible for the future TV series “Happy Days” (with Ronny Howard) and “Laverne and Shirley” (with Cindy Williams).  It was nominated for 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.

Pre-show entertainment begins at 5:30pm with a vintage car show and music on the street outside of the theatre. Dave Moreno will play the Mighty Morton organ starting at 6:30pm, and our master of ceremonies Matias Bombal will speak before the show.
