Children’s Home of Stockton (CHS) has elected two new board members, Diane Feneck, a Counselor/Professor at San Joaquin Delta College and Joseph Fagundes, a Partner at Malm Fagundes LLP.
Feneck, was born and raised in Stockton and is a tenured faculty member at San Joaquin Delta College, teaching, and primarily serving as a Counselor in Counseling and Special Services . Her role as a counselor provides a connection between CHS and San Joaquin Delta College, which is a valuable resource for CHS clients who may be interested in attending college. "I am passionate about education and have a heart for working with the under-served, which ties into the mission of the Children’s Home of Stockton and the population it serves. I am honored and excited to be a part of an organization that positively impacts the lives of youth in our community,” said Feneck.
Fagundes is also a native of Stockton and has been practicing law for over 30 years, currently as a Partner at Malm Fagundes LLP. He has also coached students in baseball and soccer for 15 years.
“I have a strong interest in seeing all young people having the chance to succeed and hope my efforts can support the Children’s Home of Stockton’s continued success,” said Fagundes.
The mission of the Children’s Home of Stockton is to provide at-risk youth an opportunity for a productive life through treatment and education in a safe, nurturing environment.
CHS is one of the largest social service organizations in Stockton, serving approximately 200 at-risk youth each year in California, for over 137 years. CHS offers Specialty Mental Health Services in a 52-bed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). We are Medi-Cal certified as a Specialty Mental Health Provider and offer Transition Aftercare services. In addition, we provide on-campus one.Vision classes operated by the San Joaquin Office of Education.
As the highest level of care for foster youth, we provide intensive therapeutic services so each student can enhance their quality of life and have a place where they feel safe, supported, and happy. We offer needed support so every child has the chance to be successful and thrive as a productive member of the community.
