The Maya Angelou Branch Library presents this year’s Summer Reading Program, “Every Hero Has a Story” from June 1 – July 31. The Summer Reading Program is to encourage everyone to read during the summer months. The library will host a variety of themed activities for children, teens, and adults that encourage and support a love of reading. Participants also can win prizes for reaching their reading goals.

- Thursday, July 2, 3:30 p.m. - Our Country's Heroes: An Independence Day Craft Celebration
- Thursday, July 9, 3:30 p.m. - Tony Borders Present "Peter Pan: Hero of Imagination"
- Thursday, July 16, 3:30 p.m. - Magic Show with Brian Scott Productions
- Thursday, July 23, 3:30 p.m. - The Serpentarium: A Living Reptile Museum
- Thursday, July 30, 3:30 p.m. - Ice Cream Social
