New opportunity to get a retail space for the Art Expression Center
Expressions of San Joaquin has a great opportunity to get a retail space. We have an immediate goal to raise a minimum of $3,200 to obtain the space. Please join us and support this exciting new group, as we are having a fundraiser on April 13, there will be food, art, wine and wonderful music provided by two great local music artists:
Violinist Sebastian Vera and Organist Mary Jo Pugh
will collaborate in a performance of late Baroque works for Violin by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frederick Handel and Antonio Lucio Vivaldi. These three masters lived at around the same time in history- Vivaldi, in Italy from 1678 to 1741; Handel, in England from 1685 to 1759 and Bach in Germany from 1685 to 1750.These men knew of each other and all claimed to be great admirers of the other. Although they never met due to limitations of travel of the day, one can surely make connections to various themes and techniques of their compositions. This performance will feature two concerti, two sonatas as well as unaccompanied works for solo Violin
