I-5/French Camp Road Interchange Reconstruction Update

Partial Road Closures and Ramp Closures August 27 and 28

To accommodate work required for reconstruction of the Interstate 5/French Camp Road Interchange, the following partial road closures will be in place the nights of Wednesday, August 27, 2014, and Thursday, August 28, 2014:

French Camp Road (Local Road)

  • Construction activities on eastbound and westbound French Camp Road will result in partial road closures with continued two-way traffic from 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, and from 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, to 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 29. Sign detours will be in place during the road closures directing traffic to the next available on ramps/off ramps on northbound/southbound Interstate 5.

Interstate 5 Northbound Closures

  • One lane between ¼ mile prior to the French Camp Road off-ramp to the Downing Avenue off-ramp from 8:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
  • Two lanes between ¼ mile prior to the French Camp Road off-ramp to the Downing Avenue off-ramp from 12:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • The on-ramp from French Camp Road to Interstate 5 from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. · The off-ramp from Interstate 5 to French Camp Road from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. · The off-ramp from Interstate 5 to Downing Avenue from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Interstate 5 Southbound Closures · One lane between the Downing Avenue on-ramp to ¼ mile past the French Camp Road off-ramp from 8:00 p.m until 6:00 a.m. · Two lanes between the Downing Avenue on-ramp to ¼ mile past the French Camp Road off-ramp from 11:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. · The off-ramp to French Camp Road from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. · The on-ramp from French Camp Road to Interstate 5 from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. · The on-ramp from Downing Avenue to Interstate 5 from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction-related issues.
