Langlois Named to ECHL All-Rookie Team

The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders and AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, are pleased to announce that forward Jeremy Langlois has been named a selection of the ECHL’s All-Rookie Team, the league announced today.

Langlois, 21, was one of three forwards and six players overall to receive the honor. He is currently second in the league in points by a rookie player with 56 from 17 goals and 39 assists in 53 games played. That total is good for 14th overall in the ECHL among all players. The 39 assists are the second-most by a rookie player this season and Langlois also has the third-most shots with 185.

The Tempe, Arizona native spent the majority of the season with the Evansville IceMen. He was part of an AHL trade from the Springfield Falcons to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on March 12, in exchange for defenseman Dallas Jackson. He was assigned to Stockton from Bridgeport on March 31, and has posted 1 goal and 3 assists in four games with his new squad.

Langlois is in his first year out of Quinnipiac University after a four-year career with the Bobcats. He helped get Quinnipiac to the NCAA Frozen Four Championship game against Yale last season, leading the team in points and assists as a senior. He finished his college career with 100 points in 156 games played.
