Lodi Man Leads San Joaquin Fair
The San Joaquin County Fair Board of Directors announced today that it has hired Kelly Olds as its Chief Executive Officer.
A resident of San Joaquin County for 20 years, Olds has an extensive management background in dairy and food processing companies including as CEO of Provisions Food Company, and as Vice President of Operations, Sales and Marketing of Super Store Industries. Having excelled early in his career as a Human Resources Manager and Labor Relations professional, Olds quickly grew into other company roles including managing a dry grocery and frozen food distribution center with 1000 employees and combined annual sales of more than one billion dollars. His past demonstrates improvement in company performance and product quality, customer service and profit.
"We couldn't be more fortunate to find somebody of Kelly's background and skill at a time when the Fair looks to rebrand itself and develop a stronger bond with the residents of this County", said Joe Valente, President of the Board of Directors.
Vice President Dave Cultrera added, “the Board was immediately drawn to Kelly because of his vision, energy and his proven executive level leadership throughout his career".
Olds attended UC Berkeley and is a graduate fellow of the California Agricultural Leadership Program. He has a number of course credits towards a Master’s Degree in Theology.
He will start immediately.
