Preparing for their second season of sand volleyball, the Tigers have announced their 2014 season. Taking advantage of a new on-campus facility, the Tigers will play four dates at home in 2014 that will include six different opponents.
Coming off of a successful inaugural sand season in 2013, the Tigers have put together a tough 2014 schedule in hopes of claiming a spot in the AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championships. The 2014 championships will be held in early May in Gulf Shores, Ala.
After playing the majority of their matches on the road in their first season, the Tigers will spend most of their time at home in the friendly confines of their new sand courts in 2014 with four different home dates dotting the schedule. Pacific opens the new year at home with back-to-back home dates beginning on March 8 with a double-dual match against San Jose State and Santa Clara. A day later, the Tigers will take on Cal at 10:00 am.
The Tigers return home one month later on April 6 to host Cal Poly at 10:00 am before hosting their second double-dual meet on April 13 against Sacramento State and Stanford. Pacific will close out the regular season with a trip to the defending national champions in Malibu, Calif. as the Tigers travel to Pepperdine to take on the Waves and Saint Mary's on April 19.
