The Stockton Ports are happy to announce three different celebrities who will visit the Ports in 2014.
The announcement comes as the second of six official waves of the 2014 promotional schedule which will conclude on Friday, February 7th. The third wave will be released at 10:00am on Friday, January 31st.
The first celebrity appearance will take place on Friday, April 25th, when Dennis Haskins will be visiting Banner Island Ballpark for 90’s Night. Fans are encouraged to bring back their best 90’s attire and participate in the night’s festivities. Haskins played Bayside High School’s Principal, Mr. Belding, as a member of the television sitcom Saved by the Bell.
Kevin Mitchell, the 1989 National League MVP, will be at Banner Island on Friday, June 20th for a pre-game ceremony and to sign autographs for fans. Mitchell is best known for his time with the San Francisco Giants and finished his professional playing career with the Oakland Athletics in 1998.
On Saturday, June 21st, James Garner’s Tribute to Johnny Cash will be returning to Banner Island Ballpark for the second time. Garner previously performed for Ports fans in 2012. The game will be followed by fireworks, sponsored by Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort.
