POSADAS: Friday, December 20, 2019 at 5:30pm
We invite you to join us for a wonderful evening Friday, December 20, 2019.
Join in the Posadas sponsored by the Mexican Heritage Center & Gallery. Participants will assemble at St. Mary’s Church, (Washington Street) at 5:30p.m. We will sing our way to the first stop at Maria’s restaurant (Market Street); the second stop will be at Xochimilco Restaurant (San Joaquin Street) and the third stop will be at the Mexican Heritage Center where the blessing and viewing of the nacimientos will take place. A short singing program will conclude this wonderful evening. Mexican Hot Chocolate, and pan dulce (sweet bread) will be available free for all participants. Delicious tamales will be sold for $2.00 each or $20.00 a dozen.
NACIMIENTOS
December 9, 2019 to December 27, 2019
On display will be nacimientos (nativity scenes) by parishes and individuals from the community.
The featured display will be by Gloria Becerra of St Gertrude’s Parish. Her detailed biblical scenes show the life of Christ from birth to his ascension into heaven.
