Read to Me, Stockton is proud to announce that First 5 California--in partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library--is providing funding to expand Read to Me, Stockton! by 4500 children! They have always had the financial support of First 5 San Joaquin, but this new funding allows them to truly grow their project.
They are asking people to share this information with all the Stockton families with young children (birth to age 5). This allows them to take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity to register their children to receive a FREE children's book each month until they are five years old!
Parents can register their children online at readtomestockton.org or imaginationlibrary.com. Children who are registered by August 2nd will receive their first age appropriate book in September.
Read to Me, Stockton’s goal has always been to prepare our youngest children for kindergarten and learning. They do this by providing them and their families with the books and early literacy tools that make such a difference in a child's success in school. They know that the more books in a home--the more education the children will accomplish.
