A bit of “tongue-in-cheek” humor can’t be avoided when you’re dealing with Rolling Stones music!
The Stones sang, “You can’t always get what you want…” but if an affordable evening full of fun and great music is what you want, you can get exactly that at the 24th Annual Pops & Picnic concert!
The Stockton Symphony is joined by Satisfaction, the highly acclaimed international Rolling Stones tribute show at the Pops & Picnic concert on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Held at A.G. Spanos Center on the University of the Pacific campus, the Symphony’s fundraiser concert begins at 8:00 p.m. but doors open at 5:45 so attendees can picnic and party prior to the start of the concert. Guests can enter the UOP campus on Larry Heller Drive, at the intersection of N. Pershing Avenue and Alpine Avenue.
Channeling Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the cast of Satisfaction joins the Symphony for a colorful performance filled with familiar rock and roll music—and showcases the most authentic cast and costuming audiences have ever witnessed! The concert will feature 50 years of classic hits by The Rolling Stones—who are currently celebrating their 50-year anniversary tour.
The evening includes full no-host bars, silent auction and raffle, and contests for costume and table decorating. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy before the concert (no alcohol to be brought in – but it will be available for purchase at the event).
Tickets (assigned upper-level seating) range from $22 to $60and can be purchased online at
www.StocktonSymphony.org. Tickets will also be available at the door. Main floor table seating is $85—a bit easier on the wallet than the $10,000 “Tongue Pit” pricing on the Rolling Stones’ upcoming tour! Call the Symphony office at (209) 951-0196 for table seating and more information. Ticketing service fees apply.
With The Rolling Stones celebrating their 50-year anniversary tour, they still haven’t caught up with the Stockton Symphony—now in its 86th year! Enjoy the musical merging of these two icons at a party you won’t forget!
