Based on the iconic 1969 rock album, The Who's Tommy is an exhilarating musical of hope, healing, and the human spirit. The story of the pinball-playing, "deaf, dumb and blind boy" who triumphs over his adversities has inspired, amazed, and puzzled audiences for more than 45 years.
Brilliantly translated to the stage into a high-energy, one-of-a-kind theatrical event which was a five-time Tony Award winner in 1993, The Who's Tommy features a thrilling score that is timeless in its youthful appeal, giving the show a cross-generational appeal that has made it a smash-hit all over the world! The musical is being directed by Stockton Civic Theatre's Artistic Director, Kevin Costello, with musical direction by Josh Landin and choreography by Evelyn Barney and John Thiel.
Technical direction and set design is by Brian Johnson, including special visual projections and video to be used throughout the production.
