Stockton Holiday Season Community Events in December

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony December 7, 2024

The City of Stockton brings the holidays to life with events, food, entertainment, and lots of holiday cheer throughout December. Beginning on Saturday, December 7, 2024, with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Weber Point Events Center, 221 N. Center St. Gates open at 3:00 p.m., and weather permitting, there will be lots of holiday festivities. Don’t miss the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m., which will take place rain or shine.

Arrive early to enjoy snowfall, free hot chocolate and cookies, and take a photo with Santa Claus and the Grinch. Come start - or finish - your holiday shopping from a selection of specialty vendors and grab a bite to eat from our onsite food trucks/vendors.

Be sure to bundle up for the cold, bring chairs and blankets and make your way over to the water’s edge to watch the Lynn Hahn Memorial Delta Reflections Lighted Boat Parade around 6:30 p.m. The Lighted Boat Parade is a gift to the community from the Stockton Yacht Club, Roger Hahn and its many registered boaters. Beloved by Stockton for over 40 years, decorated boats parade into the Stockton Deep Water Channel, then around McLeod Lake on the north side of Weber Point. Share in the cheers, delight, and lots of “Woo-Ahh!” moments.

To lift community holiday spirits, the entire community is invited to enjoy the lights at the Weber Point Fountain, lighted trees in Martin Luther King Plaza, and festive wreaths and lights on City Hall, the Civic Auditorium, and Cesar Chavez Central Library. The Weber Point Fountain lights and water rhythms will dance to holiday music while on display each evening from 5:00 – 9:30 p.m. through January 2, 2025.

Continue the holiday fun with crafts, gift wrapping, games, snacks, and winter activities at the community center Holiday Workshops from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Free fun for the entire family!
