Stockton Lighted Boat Parade: Canceled

Marina West Yacht Club who had organized the Lighted Boats Parade for the past 35 years decided to cancel this year's Light Boat Parade for the second year due to waterways leading to the Deep Water Channel in downtown are too congested by the invasive water hyacinth. The state has been trying to eradicate the weed with harvesters and herbicides. If you spot the invasive plant you’re urged to call the Department of Boating and Waterways at (888) 326-2822.
