With the season just around the corner, Pacific Men's Basketball has the announced its 2015-16 schedule. The schedule is tentative and is subject to change due to potential television matchups and time changes.
Pacific's home opener is an exhibition game against Carroll College on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 pm. The game is part of a doubleheader with the women's team, the first of two on the year for the men's and women's programs. The home schedule also includes former Big West rivals Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 17) and UC Irvine (Dec. 4) as well as long-time rival Nevada (Nov. 21).
The Tigers open up West Coast Conference play at home against Santa Clara on Dec. 21 before heading to San Francisco on Dec. 23 for its first road contest of the conference season. Highlighting the Tigers' WCC tilts are three games at home in the month of January as the Tigers take on BYU (Jan. 2), Gonzaga (Jan. 23), and Saint Mary's (Jan. 30) in Stockton. All three contests this season fall on Saturday's throughout the month and are expected to draw big crowds to the Spanos Center.
The Tigers' road schedule will include the season opener national title contender Arizona (Nov. 13) as well as playing the weekend after Thanksgiving at Sacramento State where Pacific will take on Eastern Washington (Nov. 28) and the host Hornets (Nov. 29). Additionally, the Tigers hit the road for a pair of road contests right before WCC action as they play at Fresno State (Dec. 12) and at Wisconsin-Green Bay (Dec. 15).
Pacific will get a chance to showcase its talents on the national stage on Jan. 14 when the Tigers head to Moraga, Calif. to take on Saint Mary's in a matchup televised on ESPNU.
Prior to the official practice season, the Tigers will host the annual Tiger Rally: United We Roar, which combines Midnight Mania festivities with the popular Student Lip Sync event - as a new tipoff to the season for Homecoming Weekend on October 16 at 8:00 p.m. Both events will be held in the Alex G. Spanos Center.
