After 25 years of visionary leadership, Edward Figueroa, current St. Mary’s Dining Hall (SMDH) CEO has announced his retirement and given several months notice.  SMDH provided 250,000 hot meals in 2021.  This was possible with the strong community support and working closely with the Emergency Food Bank Stockton / San Joaquin for food donations.  Two main programs that Edward helped increase were providing hot meals to 3 a day 7 days a week and expanding the Hygiene Center service from 5 days to 7 days.  The Hygiene Center had available showers, clean clothes, and toiletries products.  Edward knew the importance of keeping people fed and healthy; all done with dignity.   He will be missed tremendously.
