Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library System today announced public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com).

Library card-holders in Stockton, Escalon, Lathrop, Linden, Manteca, Mountain House, Ripon, Thornton, and Tracy locations can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers.

“We’re always searching for services and resources that educate, enlighten, and entertain our community residents,” said Suzy Daveluy, City Librarian for the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library System. “hoopla digital is one such service, and we’re excited that library patrons will now have access to a wide variety of movies, comics, TV shows and more. This new partnership enables us to meet patron demand for digital content – and with its easy-to-use interface and elimination of waiting for titles to be available, the service allows us to serve the community in a modern way.”

San Joaquin Public Library is the 29th library system in Northern California to partner with hoopla digital. Current partners include Solano County Library, San Mateo Public Library, San Francisco Public Library, Oakland Public Library, Stanislaus County Libraries and many more.

“With hoopla digital, it is our mission to empower the evolution of public libraries while helping them to meet the needs of the mobile generation. We’ve worked for years to create a best-in-breed service that is fun, fast and reliable.  And we continue to secure content deals to expand our offering of popular and niche movies, TV shows, music, eBooks, audiobooks and comics,” said Jeff Jankowski founder and owner of hoopla digital.
