The Stockton Thunder will hold an event at Stockton Arena beginning at 4:30 p.m. open to the public regarding the ownership change and future of hockey in Stockton.

The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders and AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce a press conference on Thursday, January 29 at 4:30 to introduce the NHL’s Calgary Flames as the new ownership group of the Stockton Thunder.

Flames General Manager Brad Treliving will be in attendance along with Thunder Team President Dave Piecuch and city dignitaries to speak about the changes to ensure a bright future of hockey played in the Central Valley.

Members of the general public can enter through the North Entry starting at 4:15 p.m and may ask questions to both Treliving and Piecuch after the media are finished asking questions. Video of the conference will be made available after the event.

The Thunder host the Utah Grizzlies this Saturday for Law & Order night, a celebration of those brave men and women who protect and serve our community. For tickets to the game call (209) 373-1500 or visit StocktonThunder.com.
