The Pacific field hockey team capped off their regular season home schedule with a huge win over America East rival, UC Davis, 5-1. Senior Savannah Burns scored two goals and collected an assist, while Rylee ComeauGaby de Kock and Hayley Kilfoil each recorded a goal.

The win brings the Tigers to 8-7 overall and 4-2 in the America East, while the loss drops the Aggies to 1-15 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

On senior day, Pacific completely controlled the game from the beginning as the Tigers registered 19 shots in the first half to Davis' four. The Tigers attacked first with Burns taking care of business herself as she took the ball from beyond the arc and dribbled around the Aggie defenders and ripped a shot to the left of the keeper for her first goal of the afternoon.

The Aggies answered quickly with Kate Young sneaking one by Marlise van Tonder off the rebound following a penalty corner, but that would be all from Davis as the Pacific offense exploded. It was Burns again who had the ball outside the arc and dished it to Comeau who tapped it in, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Tigers.

In the 26th minute, de Kock handled the ball with poise in front of the net and smuggled the ball right between the left post and the keeper for the freshman's fourth goal in her debut season. Just a few moments later Burns was at it again showing off her handles and maneuvering the ball around multiple Aggies and blasted in 34th goal of her career.

With the score at 4-1 in the first half, the Tigers weren't quite done when there was a scrum in front of the net and the ball was hit to the top of the arc to find Kilfoil wide open. Kilfoil took a short step inside the arc and sent a screamer to the back of the net to bring the score to its final, 5-1.

At the end of 70, nine Tigers gathered a season-high 30 shots and added 11 penalty corners, which tied their season-high, from the meeting with UC Davis, one week ago.

Burns finished the day with a season-high 10 shots, and Kriekie van Wyk followed suit adding another 10 shots for her season-high.

Goalkeeper, van Tonder improved her record to 8-7 overall and had a total of three saves.

The Orange and Black take off for another East Coast trip as they visit No. 10 Syracuse and Colgate to wrap up the regular season. The second matchup against Syracuse will be on Saturday, October 28 at 9 a.m. PDT and will be streamed live on ESPN3. The face-off with Colgate is slated for Sunday, October 29 at 11 a.m. PDT and will also have a live stream available via PacificTigers.com.
