Annual event brings motivational speaker to "Women Making A Difference" Luncheon
The Stockton Community Council of the United Way of San Joaquin County will be hosting the 15th Annual Power of One – Women Making A Difference Luncheon. The Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Hilton Stockton. Doors open at 10:30 am with numerous local non-profit organizations set-up throughout the hotel to inform and educate. A beautiful lunch will be served at 11:30 am.

This is a hilarious and inspiring true story by Tim Firth and Juliette Towhidi of Miramax Motion Picture of eleven WI members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukemia Research Fund.

Fireworks classified as “Safe and Sane” by the State Fire Marshal are approved for sale and use in the city of Stockton. The sale of Safe and Sane Fireworks is limited to 30 qualifying nonprofit organizations that submit an application to the City of Stockton and are then selected to receive a permit for sale through a lottery process. The application period for the Fireworks Sales Permit Lottery opens March 1, 2017, and ends March 30, 2017, at 4:30 p.m.

Delta Drama presents Eurydice, a retelling of the classic myth of Orpheus, March 9 - 12 at the Alfred H. Muller Studio Theater. A special Women's History Month Gala Fundraising Event performance of of the play will take place on March 8 at 7 p.m. Delta College Culinary Arts will cater the March 8 fundraiser reception at 5:30 p.m., which includes local California wines.
